Your financial support of this organization demonstrates your commitment to helping families affected by this catastrophic injury feel connected and cared for in the most meaningful and compassionate way immediately following the injury. It shows your desire to help promote TBI awareness, prevention and education to the public and helps connect these families to available resources during the acute and rehabilitation phases of injury. Research shows that one of the most needed services is basic non clinical information about the injury itself. Each of our reusable large captain’s tote bags costs MABI an average of $45 to fill + shipping costs. The positive impact these totes have on families as well as hospital staff, far outweigh the costs to provide them.

We gladly accept new unopened travel sized toiletries (Toothbrushes must be individually wrapped, toothpaste, soaps, shampoos, deodorant, Q-tips, lip balm, hair brush & comb sets, hand sanitizers, tissues, lotions, shower gel)
We also accept hard bound lined journals, pens, knitted or crocheted prayer squares.

We encourage public fundraising on behalf of MABI, Inc. as a way to bring increased awareness of both our organization and Traumatic Brain Injury to the general public. Anyone can do this! The following are just a few suggestions on how to raise the money to continue providing totes free to families who need them: Walk-a-thons, Community Garage Sales, Golf Tournaments, Wine/Cheese Tasting, Raffles, Silent Auctions, School Dances, Poker Runs, Fishing Tournaments, Black Tie Events, Concerts with local artists, Arts/Craft Shows, Chili Cook-Offs, Casino Night, Safety Walks for children, Neighborhood or School Carnivals, Penny Drives, and change collections. Donor Organizations
The following organizations provide us with comfort, toiletry or snack items, printed materials or services in lieu of financial sponsorship. We sincerely thank them for their continuing support of our program by providing us with these valuable items.
Brooks presented us with a large donation of 2700 top quality fleece blankets with their gold embossed logo embroidered on each one. Each blanket comes with a beautifully designed wrap with a message of hope and comfort for families experiencing Traumatic Brain Injury. They will be included in tote bags for selected Trauma Centers in the Central and Northeast areas of Florida.
FINR donates all of the “Understanding Brain Injury” booklets for our tote bags. These help families understand the nature of the injury, its consequences and the rehabilitation process.
